About Kimberly Devitt


I am a second-year graduate student pursuing my Masters of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Social Media from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications.

Marketing Manager

As a website consultant and brand manager for more than a dozen organizations, I have had the opportunity to work on some incredibly exciting client projects and product launches. My specialties include public relations and social media management for small to midsize businesses and organizations. I take the time to learn each client’s business – from products to culture – so I can align the social media presence with the organization’s goals. My work has been featured in more than 200 print and digital publications, including AdWeek, Drive The Nation, and Subaru’s Drive Magazine. Prior to freelancing, I served as Public Relations Manager for a Top 50 enterprise website software company. My clients represented a variety of industries and included OneBlood, CNL and The Dr. Phillips Center for The Performing Arts. During college, I served as an intern with the City of Winter Park communications department.


At present, I’m completing my masters at the University of Florida in the “Master’s of Mass Communication and Social Media” program, the country’s first-ever social media graduate program from an accredited university. The University of Florida is also where I earned my undergraduate degree in Public Relations, graduating Summa Cum Laude from UF’s College of Journalism and Communications.


In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, wakeboarding and recreational sports. I played lacrosse at the University of Florida before retiring my own stick to referee high school girls’ lacrosse.
